Unlike with aqueous or ethanolic extraction, primarily the \u003cstrong\u003efat-soluble constituents\u003c\/strong\u003e of the mushroom dissolve in a plant-based carrier oil — that is, not exclusively muscimol and ibotenic acid (which are more polar and therefore more water-soluble), but also accompanying fat-soluble substances naturally present in the dried cap.\n\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\n  From a historical and cultural perspective, fly agaric oils have their own place in the Central European nature-study tradition — for example, in folk records from the 18th and 19th centuries.
